Calgary Interiors is a family owned & operated business that has been providing Calgary and Western Canada with outstanding upholstery and custom soft furniture, since 1962. Originally founded by Steve Wenzel and a partner, Steve became a sole proprietor in 1972. Steve operated and built up the company over the early years, with his hard work ethic and great customer relations. After working in the business on weekends and summer holidays when they were kids, Kevin and Jeff Wenzel joined the company after their respective University degrees, and fully took over the operations in 1998.Sadly, Steve Wenzel passed on in August of 2019. His character and passion is greatly missed by everyone that knew him. We know that he is always looking down on us, with a big smile.
As a company, our goal today is the same as it was 50 + years ago: To provide top quality craftsmanship with outstanding customer service. It means everything to us.
We are also passionate advocates for the environment and are constantly learning how our business can leave a lighter footprint on the earth for the generations to come.

MEET THE TEAM
Kevin Wenzel
OWNER, BID
With a background degree in Industrial and Furniture Design, the oldest of Steve Wenzel’s sons brought his knowledge and skill to the Calgary Interiors team, officially in 1994. Kevin’s energy, spirit, and attention to detail immediately had an impact on the company. Today, his passion for designing & building great furniture is stronger than ever, especially as he pushes the company’s focus on sustainable, ethical alternatives.
“I really enjoy designing new pieces for my clients and making sure that it’s as aesthetically pleasing as it is comfortable and Innovative”. Ever since he was a child, Kevin has been a creative individual, and this has intensified as the years have gone on. Simply put, designing custom furniture is in his DNA
He believes that the best part of his position is seeing the team really come together on a job to create spectacular furniture for a client. Everyone striving to be better every day is what is really important.
The sports of volleyball, soccer, and skiing of his younger years, have now been mostly replaced by hiking, biking and a bit of golf. If you ask him, he will likely accept an invitation for a round of golf 😉
Jeff Wenzel
OWNER, BCOMM
Jeff has a lot of the same great characteristics that his father Steve had. He is loyal, kind, genuine, always fun-loving, and these attributes are evident in his business life as well as his family life.
Jeff’s degree in Business allows him to oversee the financial structure of Calgary Interiors, but he also enjoys the “hands on” aspect as well. This keeps his finger on the pulse of the company and ensures that our clients receive the highest quality furniture possible.
Typically, Jeff deals one on one with most of our Industry and Interior Designer clients, making sure they are authentically cared for in each project. If you are in the industry and are in need of furniture guidance, please drop him a note.
A devoted family man, any time Jeff isn’t working he is kept on the go with his lovely wife and three very active kids. They all enjoy water & snow skiing, Volleyball, nature hikes, and pretty much any competitive family game.
